The treatment modalities utilized in my practice include:

Clinical nutrition:

Dietary evaluation and recommendations. Foods that could be aggravating or causing an illness are eliminated and deficiencies in certain essential nutrients are identified and supplemented.

Botanical medicine:

The use of plant substances (leaf, root, bark) in the treatment of disease or other health disorders.

Homeopathy:

The use of remedies made from weak or infinitesimal doses of substances (plant, animal, mineral) that have been potentized (diluted and shaken) to stimulate a natural healing response in an individual with a disease or other health disorder. Homeopathic prescribing involves taking a thorough history of the patient's life, including mental and physical symptoms, and matching these symptoms to the remedy that fits the totality (entire symptom picture) of their symptoms most closely.

Hydrotherapy:

The use of water in treatment of disease or other health disorder. The water may be in any form (hot, cold, ice, steam etc) and may be applied internally (steam inhalation), or externally (sauna, hot/cold towel applications, and baths of various temperatures etc.)

Chinese medicine:

The use of acupuncture to promote the unrestricted flow of Qi (energy) in the body as well as the use of chinese herbs in the treatment of disease or other health disorder.

Cranio-sacral therapy:

In a healthy individual there is a rhythmic motion in the cranio-sacral system created by the rise and fall of cerebrospinal fluid (which surrounds the brain and spinal cord). In various states of illness this rhythmic motion is altered. Cranio-sacral therapy involves the gentle assessment and manipulation of the bones of the skull and sacrum and release of fascial restrictions (the fascia is the layer of fibrous tissue that covers the entire body beneath the skin). The ultimate goal being restoration of the cranio-sacral rhythm and well being.
